UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII MANDATES COVID-19 VACCINE

UPDATE COMING SOON !

On May 17, 2021 University of Hawaiʻi announced it will be mandating the Covid-19 vaccine for students as a condition to be on campus. Listen to THIS NEWS REPORT about the announcement.

Medical and religious exemptions from vaccination are still allowed. However, with these exemptions students agree that they will stay home during an outbreak of a disease for which immunization is required. UH president David Lassner stated that students on exemptions can still take online classes for which no vaccinations are required.

What if Covid-19 stays around and never goes away? Will non-vaccinated students be barred forever? What is the metric at which time non-vaccinated will be allowed back on campus? And will UH implement a testing culture to prove students are not ill?
